The Paro Post Tries Out All Terrain

What a great review from this quick-to-sunburn mom, who stayed protected from the Texas summer sun with All Terrain!
"Okay, those of you who know me are well aware of the fact that I am so not an outdoorsy kind of girl. So I will admit that I was a little hesitant when I first received an email from All Terrain asking if I would like to try one of their products and offer some to my readers. However, if you've been to Texas in May-August, you're aware of just how brutal our summers can be, so we're always in need of products that protect from the elements. And with a little one, I'm more concerned than ever about using products that are natural and gentle, so I decided to give their sun protection line a try.

All Terrain makes natural products for those who enjoy an active outdoor lifestyle, and just in time for summer, they have announced the expansion of their Kid’s Care product line. Environmentally conscious, All Terrain's products have all natural ingredients and their packaging is made from recycled material, recyclable and/or biodegradable.

Thankfully, they sent me some summery products that I could use! Although I would have loved to try out some of their kid's line on Jax, it's somewhat rare these days that I get new products for myself, so I was more than happy to try these out. They sent me the Aloe Gel Skin Relief, TerraSport No-Slip Dry-Grip Sunscreen, and Lip Armor Protection & Healing Balm.

Typing One Handed Fights Stays Protected With All Terrain

This fair-skinned, outdoor loving family has great things to say about All Terrain, and gives one lucky reader a chance to win a free All Terrain product!

"One of my favorite things about summer is all of the outdoor activities- sun bathing, camping, hiking, or even just sitting on the back porch watching my girls splash in the swimming pool. What don’t like about summer? Sunburns. Bugs. Dirt. Sunburns. (Yes, I know I said it twice… we’re a fair skinned family.)

All Terrain recently gave my children and me the pleasure of sampling products from their amazing brand. Hands down, my family and I loved them. The first thing I noticed upon using their products, I am instantly reminded of the wonderful, outdoorsy camping smell. All Terrain products are natural, paraben free, and come in recyclable and/or biodegradable packaging.

I was able to test several products, and I developed some sure-fire favorites that I think you will love too! The Lip Armor lip balm ($2.59) feels so soft and cool on my lips, and contains SPF 25. The Kids Itch & Rash Cream ($7.99) cleared the eczema patches on baby Maya’s elbows within 24 hours! The HandSans hand sanitizer ($5.99, we tried the kids version) actually moisturizes as well as sanitizes. Working in a hospital, this product was almost instantly claimed as my own, never to again be shared with anyone! The only potential downside I found was with the KidSport sunscreen- it is a cream and we are used to using a spray on sunscreen. Once I got used to rubbing on the cream it was no big deal, and it stays on for a LONG time! So all said and done, no downside. Just a wonderfully scented, economically conscientious line of products that can be used by the whole family, even the dog!!!"

Mommy of a Monster Loves All Terrain Kids' Products!

This mom trusts All Terrain to protect her kids from the harmful effects of sunlight and insects.

"So before I went to the river last month, I was given the opportunity to review some products from All Terrain, who makes all natural products for outdoor enthusiasts. They use only natural ingredients...a HUGE plus for me when I'm putting things on the kids. They offer a variety of products, from sun protection to insect repellents, sanitizers, band aids...even products for your pets!
I thought it was a fantastic idea, since I knew we'd be spending a lot of time in the sun and would need both sunscreen and aloe to keep everybody safe and comfortable. And because we were also supposed to be going to King's Canyon this week, I thought I'd also try the bug spray to keep the kids bite free, as well as some bite soother and antiseptic spray (just in case), and some hand wipes. Cuz camping is a messy deal, you know.
So the first thing we tried, was the KidSport SPF 30. It was FANTASTIC! It rubbed on easily, provided great coverage, and did not hurt their eyes when their hands inevitably made their way up to their faces! It stayed on in the water and through sweat. We did have to reapply, just as we would with "regular" sunblock."

Traveling with All Terrain!

Hello All,

We will be having a guest blogger over the next week or so. She is an All Terrain employee that will be traveling to Ireland. Everyone say Hello to Heather....

This is her during a recent trip to the beach: "I just used the new sun spray last weekend at the beach. Even though it was overcast, I still knew the burning rays could get through and cause sunburn. What I loved most was that the spray did not make my skin feel all sticky like some sun protection products can. I was able to play in the sand and not have a coating of sand stuck to the sunscreen protection I had applied."

As you can tell, she loves All Terrain, but is All Terrain ready for Ireland? We will be putting it to the test! She will be packing her suitcase full of products and we are excited to see how they preform no matter what situation a traveler can get into! Check out Heather's itinerary below and get ready for more updates soon!

Heather's Trip to Ireland

We will be staying the full week at O’Connor’s Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast in the small village of Doolin, situated on the scenic west coast of Ireland. Doolin is known for its music and the nearby cliffs of Moher. Arriving early on Monday at Shannon, we will pick up our car (an Opel Zafhira or similar car), pile in our luggage (hopefully without tying it on top of the car!) and head off on the wrong side of the road northwest toward Doolin.

Monday, Day 1: Pick up car and traverse our way slowly to our B&B. We are women so stopping along the way will be a necessity if not a priority. No more rushing to get to our destination, we are in control of the wheel. It is Ireland after all, which means taking time to smell the heather.

Unpack and then its investigating the farm and the local area of Doolin, a bit of shopping in the village and lunch or dinner, and an evening evaluating the 3 pubs for the best pint of ale.

Tuesday, Day 2: Weather permitting we will be off today after a massive breakfast to hike to the Cliffs of Moher, a few miles down the coast. There are trails leading from Doolin and it should be a great time. Once back we will continue to check out the area, like Lisdoonvarna, known for its match making festival during September. Unfortunately our single sisters will be gone before the party begins, no pressing our luck in a Irish wedding dance.

Wednesday, Day 3: Road trip today to head out further into Country Clare. We plan on hiking in the area called the “Burren”, once home of the O’Briens who owned at one point 8 of the 12 local castles in the area. The Burren is a geological landscape of moon rock, most of the topsoil in this region has long been swept away leaving miles of seemingly barren rock to investigate. There are numerous ancient ring forts in the area, the famous St Brigid’s well, as well as lots of old ruins and churches to check out.

Thursday, Day 4: Again, weather permitting, we will head South over the river Shannon to the Dingle Peninsula to test our driving and hiking skills in Connor’s Pass. We might try out some basic Irish on the locals, and shop the small villages along the coast. There are many pull off areas to view the strand and the local wildlife including the passing blue and red spotted sheep left free to graze!

Friday, Day 5: Now that we’ve got the hang of driving on the left side of the road down passably well, we plan on heading North to Galway County, and the university city of Galway itself. The City Centre offers lots of shopping and restaurants and will be our day to pick up supplies and souvenirs for the friends at home. Once done with the city life, we might head north further into Connemara to check out more sheep and hiking.

Saturday, Day 6: We will be braving the churning waters of Galway Bay to head out to the Aran Islands, taking the local ferry for a day of hiking Inis Mor, the largest of the group of islands. A wild place, it’s still populated with hardy fisherman, Irish is still spoken everyday and the waves crash onto shore as they have forever.

Sunday, Day 7: It’s packing and heading out early back to Shannon to head home. Flight leaves early and then it’s a night in Chicago for some of us before driving the final leg of our journey to Michigan, while the other two head south to Florida, and west to the wild places of Washington.

This Mom Chooses All Terrain For Her Kids

What a great review of All Terrain from a mom who understands the value of natural products.

"There are so many reasons to love summer: no school, no schedule, BBQ for dinner, and hours spent outdoors in the fresh air, just to name a few. Come summer, my favourite sentence becomes “go outside and play!” That said, I want my boys to enjoy the outdoors in a healthy way, which is why my bag is stocked with All Terrain natural products for the outdoors. All Terrain was kind enough to supply me with samples of their Kidsport SPF 30 natural sun block, Hand Sanz natural hand sanitizer, and Kids Wonder Wash biodegradable concentrated soap. All Terrain’s products use only natural ingredients and are formulated for hard-core use, so you can rest assured that your family will be protected while hiking, gardening, playing at the park, camping, or enjoying water-park fun this summer."
